Dima Abulhusn is a multi-disciplinary designer and restaurateur with experience ranging from architecture and interior design, to hospitality operations and product design. Born in Beirut and inspired by a global community of professionals, her design spirit has been anchored by partnerships and cultivated by collaborative environments.
With a B.S. in Interior Design from the Lebanese American University, she began her professional career as a designer with the renowned Pierre Yves Rochon in Beirut. She went on to pursue a Master's degree in Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design, becoming a member of the RISD Advisory Design Committee, a Graduate Liaison, and later acquiring a Sheridan Teaching Certificate from Brown University. In 2006, she returned to the bespoke world of hospitality design when she joined Tihany Design in New York. It was a chapter mentored by an award-winning community of designers which gave her an opportunity to take on projects from concept design to construction adaptations, while working with hoteliers and Michelin star chefs.
In 2011, she moved back to Beirut where she established a design practice as well as opened her own restaurant. During that period, she began a venture with Unitec Consultants to design, consult, and manage hotel projects in the Middle East. With the skillset and spirit for team-based environments, she nurtured that path; co-creating concepts for hotel brands such as Marriott’s innovative Renaissance hotel in Doha, to closely working with the Oberoi family in India to honor their ethos and execute their vision.
Dima continues to collaborate with her design network and the creative community she has built.

Passion for hospitality design created the foundation for a deep partnership with Unitec Consultants and DAJH Architects, multi-disciplinary firms with a unique focus on the hospitality industry. From 2015 to 2021, our collaborative experience allowed us to conceptualize, design, and successfully execute prominent hotel and residential projects in the Middle East.
